Features

Game Mode automatically detects when you launch a game and optimizes system resources for maximum performance. Features include:

  • Auto-Detection: Recognizes popular games and automatically activates
  • FPS Overlay: F1-style telemetry display (press F2 to toggle) showing FPS, CPU/GPU usage, temps, and RAM
  • Performance Profiles: Balanced, Performance, and Eco modes
  • RAM Cache: Clears standby memory to free up resources
  • Background Optimization: Reduces non-essential processes

You can manually enable/disable Game Mode from the main window or system tray.

STX.1 monitors your CPU and GPU temperatures in real-time and alerts you when thresholds are exceeded:

  • Warning Level (80°C): Yellow notification in system tray
  • Critical Level (90°C): Red notification with sound alert
  • Customizable: Adjust thresholds in Settings → Alerts

Alerts help prevent thermal throttling and potential hardware damage from overheating.

STX.1 stores 30 days of system telemetry locally on your device using SQLite database. Tracked metrics include:

  • CPU usage and temperature
  • GPU usage and temperature
  • RAM usage (physical and committed)
  • Network upload/download speeds
  • Disk read/write activity

View detailed charts and trends in the Historical Data section. Data is automatically purged after 30 days to save disk space.

The Browser Privacy Cleaner securely removes browsing data from popular browsers:

Supported Browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, Opera

What it clears:

  • Browsing history
  • Cache files
  • Cookies
  • Download history
  • Temporary internet files

Note: This does NOT delete saved passwords, bookmarks, or form data. Always close browsers before using this tool.

Troubleshooting

Temperature readings require hardware sensor support. If temperatures aren't displaying:

  1. Run as Administrator: Right-click STX.1 shortcut → "Run as administrator"
  2. Update Drivers: Ensure GPU drivers are up to date
  3. Check BIOS: Some motherboards disable sensor reporting by default
  4. Hardware Limitation: Very old hardware may not expose temperature sensors via WMI/LibreHardwareMonitor

If issues persist, check our Troubleshooting Guide or report an issue.

STX.1 is optimized for minimal resource usage. Typical usage:

  • CPU: 1-3% (idle), 3-5% (active monitoring)
  • RAM: 80-150 MB

If you're experiencing high usage:

  1. Reduce polling interval in Settings → Performance (increase from 1s to 2-3s)
  2. Disable historical data collection if not needed
  3. Close unnecessary widgets or charts
  4. Restart the application

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Enable Game Mode: Make sure Game Mode is active (system tray icon turns red)
  2. Toggle Overlay: Press F2 in-game to show/hide overlay
  3. Run as Admin: Some games require STX.1 to run with administrator privileges
  4. Fullscreen Mode: Try switching between fullscreen, borderless, and windowed modes
  5. Anti-Cheat Conflict: Some anti-cheat systems block overlays. This is a known limitation for competitive games like Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege

The overlay works best with DirectX 11/12 games in borderless or windowed mode.

Common solutions:

  1. Update .NET Runtime: Download and install the latest .NET 8 Runtime
  2. Windows Updates: Ensure Windows is fully updated
  3. Reset Settings: Delete %LocalAppData%\STX1\settings.json
  4. Clean Reinstall: Uninstall completely, delete %LocalAppData%\STX1, then reinstall
  5. Check Event Viewer: Look for crash details in Windows Event Viewer → Application logs

If crashes persist, please report a bug with your system specs and error logs.
